Worst experience ever in renting a car. It took me at least an hour to rent the car. The employer was not friendly initially --complaining about another co-worker. He allowed a lady to but in front of me after I had already been there. I don't rent many cars and so instead of walking me through the process --assumed I already knew. He did upgrade my car which was nice however my first car didn't feel right and so had to return. There was no appology for that --got the feeling that they wanted to leave Bc it was after 5. Just all around poor customer service. Plus hertz doesn't allow a spouse to pick up a car if the other booked it which I think is super inconvenient especially since I was the additional driver.
Okay Anthony was super nice so I bumped up my review when I went to drop off the car. He was conversational and friendly and let us go with not paying for all the gas. Thx!
My experience here didn't start off so great. My accident happened on Saturday and Monday we called and were told a car would be ready that night. We called when I got home from work and was told a car wasn't available and to come tomorrow morning. Tuesday morning still no car but a promise to deliver one to my workplace if one became available. True to their word they delivered a 2016 Hyundai Accent in great shape right to my workplace. They didn't care that my car took three weeks instead of a week to repair and allowed me to keep the car until my came back. They also allowed me to use the car for several one day trips which resulted in 2,000 miles being put on it. Thanks to them my summer wasn't ruined and several trips went on as planned.
The car was clean. Suggestion fill the tank up before returning the car. If you don't and you agreed to pay for gas ahead you will pay for full tank even if you only use less then half tank. And if you don't agree to pay for gas ahead they will charge you 9.99 a gal. Which is crazy. Ask lots of question and take pics of car inside and out before you take it. Their insurance they offer is high you don't need it if you already have car insurance.
First, every summer we rent a car for 8-10 days while we are on vacation, we also use a rental car for smaller trips the rest of the year.. I'll NEVER use Hertz EVER again. First, When we arrived at 4:30 for our appointment to pick up the car.. Nobody was even there.. We had to knock on the door for a good 10 minutes before some idiot comes strolling out behind the building.. This is AFTER we called 3 times. Secondly.. The car was in my name with my CC but because I work during their TERRIBLE hours I couldn't pick it up, they wouldn't allow her to pick it up for me either, My fiance does not have a major credit card, so she used her bank card instead of my CC..but because she doesn't actually have credit established it wasn't efficient to rent (they didn't tell her this over the phone) Thr idiot behind the desk rudly said Next and began helping other customers NOT even giving her an options.. Unfortunately my fiancé left her cellphone at home ( she was going to call me) so I could get off work to pick it up.. He wouldn't allow her to do so on their phone. Now I'm Stuck having to run to Harrisburg international airport to get a car which was DOUBLE what I agreed to py MONTHS ago when I booked this.. I called and talked to a supervisor who got the price down but I Still paid MUCH more than originally promised.. But whatever, i ate the cost.. I had a trip planned the next day. Hertz made this a COMPLETE nightmear. I trusted this company and they came close to screwing up vacation plans. The last thing you want to do the day before vacation is run around looking for a car at Harrisburg airport.
I would use them again if the need comes up but will do some things different.
Substantially improved! The management team has changed at this location. I have been using the service regularly for the past few months and the service is much better. They will not have all of the options of the larger rental locations, but they work hard to meet my needs.
