Edit: Moved from 1 to 3 stars. They provided a full refund. Still is a bit defensive about responsibility. I've never known a full service accounting firm perform your taxes and not meet to review it. Is it a requirement that a client insist? When I showed up to sign the return I expected the accountant to meet me and offer to review. Instead it was the assistant simply showing where I should sign. Same thing with the amendment. It seems clear that the M.O is to not encourage meetings so the firm is more efficient. I get it; but that's not 5 star service.
Accountant would not meet to review the return return prior to submitting in 2014. This resulted in not discovering missing documentation. Result was a IRS audit letter which required a simple amendment They then charge me for the amended return due to their fault. Accountant would not meet me to review the amended return either.
