I had to go in and update my account. It is fun checking all the stuff. They keep a variety of Resque tools there like a Window Breaker-Seatbelt Cutter and a buzzing ear device for when you start dozing off. Great for those long trips.
I told him that, he is the skilled technician, which is why he is here fixing it; not me; and that I would PREFER to drive on the spare for reasons mentioned before. Costs of his damage were $100. AAA reimbursed me but the manager I spoke to acted like he didn't want to, and re-iterated that it was my fault for telling the technician I would prefer to drive on the spare. If he was that convinced about the risk of breaking something he should not have proceeded. I called a technician because I'm not skilled with cars, otherwise I would have just done it myself. If I had told him that maybe "removing my timing belt" would fix a knocking sound would he have done it too?

This location only has a few drivers and I had a really negative experience with one of them. He was called out to fix a flat tire. He begins to remove the tire only to discover that the wheel bolt/lug? are slightly stripped. He told me he could either continue to try to get the spare on, or I could be towed. I told him I would much rather he get the spare on if possible, then I could just drive into town. The tow would cost me money. He proceeded to break the lug/bolt? off the wheel area. He then told me that it was my fault because I told him to continue.

I now have Geico Roadside as part of my insurance and just bookmarked the tow agency that was called. I won't be renewing my services (which were gifted to me) since I really dont see the value of AAA as an intermediary anyway. I've had positive experiences with them in the past, but I simply purchased a jump-pack and cut up my AAA card. I'd rather walk home then have someone cause additional damage with simple procedures.
