I believe BHSE is part of an end time revival movement. It's a revival of spiritual quality; not necessarily quantity. It's a revival of honoring the Lordship of the Word of God and holiness in our lives. It's a revival of honoring and obeying the entire Bible, resulting in the Bride making herself ready for the Lord's return.
After attending many traditional Christian churches for the last 40 years, in 2013 I felt led to obey the 4th commandment to honor the Sabbath Day. I started attending BHSE Sabbath Day services in early 2014.

Rabbi Mike says the Hebrew songs and prayers we use are the same as Jesus used almost 2000 years ago. While this has caused me some initial culture shock, I realize that the American Christianity I've known is very different from the faith of Jesus and the apostles, who were all Hebrews. I'm sure they'd feel right at home in this Messianic Jewish congregation.
We have quite a cross-section of people at BHSE: Jews, gentiles, African Americans, single mothers, teenagers, elderly, doctors, lawyers, truck drivers, mechanics, students, teachers...all feel welcome and valued.
This doesn't mean they're legalistic. In fact, Rabbi Mike plainly teaches that we can only receive God's forgiveness by grace, because of the work of Christ as our Passover sacrifice.
