Terrible. Do NOT use this company. I wish I could give zero stars.
I received the cancellation phone call from the other company I had booked with...... on Tuesday of moving week, and didn't get to the voicemail until right around 5:30. Thursday was moving day.... as you can probably imagine, I was not thrilled, to say the least, about adding this stress at the last minute. After freaking out for a while, I got on Google and started making phone calls a little bit after 6 p.m. I did NOT expect things to go well, and was more than a little nervous about how to tell my landlord about how the tenants that she had scheduled to start moving in on Sunday were just going to have to wait
The short version= Convenient. Accommodating. Flexible. Careful. Courteous.....and affordable....
DO NOT ever hire Muscle for Moves. Not only did they not show up on moving day but Corey would not even answer the phone, return my phone or text messages. When I hired him, I stressed the importance of having to move today (9/30/17) because the new tenants would be moving in the next day. I even confirmed the move the day before. Unprofessional and irresponsible.
I scheduled a simple move several weeks in advance. On the day of the move, I called Cory at lunchtime to confirm that they would be at my place at 5:00 PM that evening as planned. He confirmed. Then at 4:40 PM, he sent me a text message that said: “Something came up we can’t do ur move at 5. I just found out sorry for the notice.” That's it, no further contact or offer of alternatives.
Great company! Got me out of a jam! Well organized and fast. Highly recommend! Literally showed up with less than a 2 hour notice. :) Packed the moving truck efficiently and ensured that all my stuff would not be damaged. Respectful and honest.
These guys are the TOTAL package!!!
Within a minute of receiving the text, I called him. He would not answer. I immediately called again and got sent to voicemail. I texted, asking if he could still do it but at a later time that day. He would not respond. He never responded. He completely left me hanging at 4:40 PM on the last day I had to complete my move ... a move that I came from out of town to be there for.
Not only did Cory ANSWER his phone at 630 that night, he was apologetic about the other company's last minute cancellation, fit me into his schedule on the EXACT day/time that I needed, and provided a quote that was accurate TO THE PENNY. James and Jeremy (the 2 movers that came) were efficient, on task the ENTIRE time, personable and polite. Go with these guys if scheduling makes it at all possible, you won't regret it.
Cancelling at the last minute was bad. To not be man enough to take a live phone call or text me back only lowers my opinion of this so called business. Hiding behind a text message? No legitimate business I know behaves this way. My only advice is do NOT use this company. Cory is not dependable, professional or responsible, and apparently lives in a world without consequence as he clearly does not care about treating customers so badly.
I would give zero stars if I could. Movers never showed up! I called to ask where they were and I got a text saying they were on their way, but they never came.
Please learn from my mistake, save yourself a lot of trouble, and find a different mover.
I wish I had read the Google reviews before I called him as this appears to be a consistent theme with other would be customers. I can only blame myself for not taking that easy research step. If you are reading this and have not yet contacted Cory, please do yourself a favor and find another mover…a real mover with a real business. My honest impression is that this is not a legitimate business. Anyone can put up a website and make their “business” look legit. I suspect this is something he does on the side and that he will make commitments knowing he will not honor them all. If it is convenient for him to honor them, he will. If not, he will leave you hanging at the last minute ...... and with a tough s*!@ attitude toward you. He does not care and he’s not grown up enough to speak to you live or even respond to your texts once he fails to come through. What a completely irresponsible coward.
