In warmer weather, our back yard is the gathering place for our family and friends. Our 30+ year old deck needed to be replaced, as it was starting to splinter and was becoming harder to maintain. Ben showed us options and gave us some great ideas that are both functional and very low maintenance. Composite decking isn't cheap, but it's well worth it not to have to spend another Spring cleaning and applying stain/seal to wood. We'll now have time to actually enjoy being outside. We're also grateful to them for finding and replacing a rotted framing board as well as a few other minor issues that would have caused a much greater problem in the near future.
These men had an excellent work ethic and were extremely easy to communicate with.
Rusty, Kenny, Bill, BJ and Tom were absolutely great to work with. We actually miss seeing them now that the project is completed. The only time we needed to call them was when we were out of town and our pet sitter ran into problems. They were more than happy to feed our cats for us, which we greatly appreciated. (And so did the cats!)
While working on the deck project they also replaced a hexagonal window, installed a new front door and installed a bead board ceiling in our family room.
Yorklyn installed a door to create access from our garage to our back yard. The entire process was simple and the carpenters did a fantastic job. We would recommend them for any job, large or small.
Overall a wonderful experience from start to finish. Ben was outstanding to work with and answered all our questions with great details. We had our windows installed by Yorklyn and called them again to install a patio door. Nick does an excellent job. He is always friendly, professional, and cleans up after himself! The prices were fair and we had a great experience. We would definitely recommend Yorklyn, and Nick, to anyone!
