I inquired about closing my checking account. I was told by a bank rep that when my account goes down to $0.00 it would automatically close. I bought a $500 computer to take it down to zero funds. Guess what. It didn't close. The interest the account paid put a few cents into it. I had to pay an insufficient funds fee to close the account. I was very upset after viewing my statement telling me the account wasn't closed.
